If you are organising a large group for a special occasion short break – this is the place for you! We regularly take weekend groups for birthdays, family gatherings, reunions, hen or stag parties.Long weekends and full weeks can also be booked.

On offer is luxury accommodation in elegant surroundings, coupled with a function room for your celebration meal or special party. Whole House means no other guests, giving you a short break with privacy and exclusive use.

The 10 bedrooms have a total of 3 double and 18 single beds, giving 24 bed spaces. In addition, 5 foldaway beds can be arranged making the maximum group size 29 adults. Seating that number for dinner in the stately surroundings of the dining room will be no problem, while the even larger Red lounge provides lots of party space. A huge ground floor kitchen has stone flags, stove, belfast sinks, gas cooking and all the crockery, cutlery, and utensils that your group is likely to want.

Many groups prefer the luxury of outside caterers, so ask us for recommendations. We can also suggest contacts for group activities, corporate hospitality, entertainment, speakers, musicians.

After you have made your booking .... then comes the planning.
Like dressing up? Want a fancy dress party? Doing a Murder Mystery? Need a few extra dinner jackets?
More than 1000 costumes are available for hire from our own fancy dress collection in the nearby costume store. Discounts for guests using the accommodation. For more details on the costumes just follow the link.

In the daytime enjoy the landscaped grounds or the swimming pool (check whether open), or numerous activities nearby such as trekking, quad-biking, spa/pampering, or take a trip to Bath or Bristol.

Prices are often in the range £25 - £35 per person per night for a 3-night midweek reservation, varying with group size and season. At weekends the range is more typically £45 - £75 pppn.

Many weekends this summer are now booked, so please contact us early to get options on dates. Bookings for October, November and December are coming in fast at present. Note, ask your group about coming midweek instead, you can save a lot! Eg Three nights midweek is usually half the price of a weekend. We are competitively priced for full week reservations, and we are attracting ever more corporate enquiries for training/ bonding/ managerial breaks especially midweek.
